1.Who is responsible
Ursa Major LLC, Manushian 36, Arabkir 0012, Yerevan, Armenia, is the controller for the website request data and company correspondence covered by this policy. Write to als@ursamajor.io for anything on this page.
This policy covers the public website at ursamajor.io and enquiries sent to our company contact details, including project enquiries and product support correspondence. Processing within an application or other digital product is explained in that product's privacy notice. This website policy does not cover personal data we process on a client's behalf within a development project. That processing is subject to the relevant client instructions and data processing agreement, where applicable. This distinction does not exclude our own correspondence with the client from this policy. This policy does not replace those arrangements or any non-disclosure agreement.
2.What this site does not do
- The pages on this site do not set cookies or use local or session storage.
- It runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels.
- Fonts, styles and images are served from this site. We do not embed third-party videos, maps or social media widgets.
- It has no accounts, contact forms, checkout or newsletter sign-up.
Your browser may cache page files as part of normal browsing. This is different from using cookies or browser storage to track visitors.
3.Server records
When you visit, the infrastructure delivering the site processes your IP address and the request information sent by your browser. Server logs may record the requested address, date and time, browser user agent, response status and referring page, if your browser sends one. These records support page delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. They are not used for advertising profiles.
4.If you write or call
When you email, call or send post, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email or postal address, telephone number, company and role, message content and attachments. For support, this may include the application name and version, screenshots or diagnostic details that you choose to send. Our communications services may also process delivery information, such as message headers and the time of contact.
Providing information in an enquiry is voluntary, but without relevant contact or request details we may be unable to reply or help. Please send only what is needed and remove unrelated personal information from attachments. Do not include passwords, access credentials, payment details or sensitive personal information in an enquiry or support message. Arrange an appropriate confidential channel and, where needed, a non-disclosure agreement before sharing confidential project materials.
Sending materials does not transfer their ownership to us or give us permission to publish them, as explained in our Terms of Service.
5.Purposes and legal grounds
We use technical request data to operate and protect the site. We use correspondence to answer questions, discuss work you ask us to consider, provide support and keep necessary records of those interactions. Where required by law, we also process information to fulfil legal obligations. We do not use this information for advertising, behavioural profiling or decisions based solely on automated processing.
The legal ground depends on the activity and the law that applies. For enquiries and client communications, processing may be necessary to take steps you request before entering an agreement or to carry out that agreement, where the applicable law recognises that ground. Processing required by law is based on the relevant legal obligation. Where consent is required, we must obtain it for the specified purpose; this policy and a visit to the site are not blanket consent to processing.
6.How long we keep it
Retention depends on the purpose and type of record. Technical logs should be kept only for the period needed to operate the site, investigate faults or address security incidents. We keep correspondence while handling the enquiry and for any necessary follow-up, taking account of an ongoing client relationship and applicable record-keeping obligations. Relevant records may need to be retained for a legal claim where the law permits or requires it.
We do not retain personal information indefinitely simply because it may be useful. When it is no longer needed for its lawful purpose, it must be deleted or made anonymous. You may ask us about the retention period applicable to your information or request its deletion. If we must retain any information, we will explain the reason and applicable limits.
8.International processing
Our company is based in Armenia. The server hosting this website is located in the European Union. This hosting location does not determine where our email is processed: email is handled separately through Google. Communications services may involve processing in other countries, depending on the service arrangements. A provider's location can differ from the location of its servers or support staff.
Any international transfer must meet applicable data protection requirements, including safeguards and regulatory authorisation where required. Visiting this site or contacting us is not blanket consent to international transfers. You can contact us for details of the locations, recipients and transfer arrangements relevant to your information.
9.External services
Following a link to an external website, app store or other service takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Email and telephone links open your chosen mail or calling application; they do not submit a form on this site. Your provider handles the communication under its own terms and privacy notice. Our handling of the information we receive is described in this policy.
10.Your choices
Write to als@ursamajor.io to ask whether we hold personal information about you, obtain access to it and learn about its sources, purposes, recipients and retention. You may ask for inaccurate information to be corrected and for information to be deleted or its processing restricted where the applicable legal conditions are met. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it; this does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. We will explain any effect on our ability to handle your request.
Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to object to processing or request a portable copy of your data. We may need limited information to verify your identity or authority before disclosing or changing personal information. Please do not send an identity document unless we have explained why it is necessary and how to provide it securely.
A person replies within two business days. That initial reply is separate from completing a privacy request, which we handle within applicable statutory deadlines. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the grounds and the available ways to challenge the decision.
You may complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of Armenia or another competent data protection authority, and seek a judicial remedy where available. You do not have to contact us first.
11.Children
This corporate website is intended for business enquiries and general information, not for children. We do not ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided information that we should not hold, please contact us so we can review it and delete it where required. Where processing requires consent from a parent or legal representative, we must obtain that consent. The age rules and privacy practices of individual products are described separately.
12.Changes
We will publish updates here with a new version number and effective date. If a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide that notice or obtain consent before the relevant processing begins. An update does not retroactively authorise a new use of information or amend an existing client, product or non-disclosure agreement. Our Terms of Service explain the conditions for using the website.
